“Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.” -Oscar Wilde

Start Here. A Walkthrough of a Charlotte Mason Education – Principle 01.

Hey there!

I’ve been holding onto a little secret that I’d love to share! Starting a podcast has been a little thought of mine for quite some time, but much like many of us, the timing has never felt quite right. Honestly, it still isn’t ideal for me—my schedule is so packed that it feels like a never-ending game of Tetris! But if we wait for the “perfect” moment to step out of our comfort zones, it may just never happen. So, here we are!

The Joyful Noises podcast aims to welcome everyone, not just those who homeschool; however, it felt like the perfect starting point since I’ve received numerous messages lately from people wanting to know more about what a Charlotte Mason education truly entails. Together, let’s hike back to the very foundations of what makes a Mason education – well, Mason.

Throughout this series, I will cover the 20 principles gifted to us by, none other than yes, the remarkable Miss Mason. I will also add that I am NOT a professional classical Charlotte Mason homeschooling mom, but I have spent a lot of time researching child education as well as what makes the best fit for our family.

Principle 01 – Children are born persons. Mason states that “they are not born either good or bad, but with the possibilities for good and evil.”

Seems pretty strightforward right? Wrong..

Hop on over to the podcast to find out the deeper meaning behind principle number one. You can find the Joyful Noises Podcast on apple podcasts, spotify, audible, or podbean!

Happy listening!
